Community Hall

The 200m2 Community Hall has a sprung timber floor ideal for dance, drama, martial arts and exercise groups. The hall is well-equipped to cater for seminars, presentations, ceremonies, film-screenings, birthday parties, corporate and social events.

Access to the Hall is via the main entry to The Place, or directly from the street via three double doors opening directly into the Hall. The Place's semi-commercial kitchen adjoins the Community Hall and is available for combined or separate hire.

Youth Room

The Youth Room has a 100m2 sprung timber floor, a 50m2 vinyl floor ‘wet-area’ and a kitchenette with bar-fridge, double sink, and microwave. The Youth Room is well equipped for corporate and social events, training, seminars, exercise, art and craft classes, youth groups and playgroups.

The room's audio-visual equipment is compatible with CDs, DVDs, MP3 players, laptops and games consoles.

A foosball table, pool table, and table tennis table are available in the Youth Room storeroom. Toddler sized tables and chairs are also available in the Youth Room storeroom.

Activity Room 2 adjoins the Youth Room, and is available for combined or separate hire.

Access to the Youth Room is via the main entry to The Place, or directly from the street
via a double door opening directly into the space.

Activity Room 1

Activity Room 1 is a 50m2 carpeted room equipped with a StarBoard and fixed data projector and in-room speakers.

The room is well-equipped for meetings, seminars, school and playgroups, music lessons, gentle exercise, and training days.

Activity Room 2

Activity Room 2 is a 25m2 carpeted room suitable for meetings, seminars, small school groups, music lessons, and training days. Activity Room 2 adjoins the Youth Room and is an ideal break out space if both rooms are hired together.

  • Laptop, Hitachi StarBoard & Laptop, portable PA / CD player with cordless & lapel microphones, portable whiteboards, flipchart easel, lectern (without microphone)

Computer Room

The Computer Room is well-equipped for computer based training, digital photography and video editing, and internet based learning. The room has ample deskspace for a presenter's laptop, and wireless internet access is available.

The room has a fixed data projector and combined whiteboard and projector screen. An inkjet printer is available in the room for printing during the hire period – no additional fees just byo paper! Professional quality printing services are also available at The Place for affordable rates (click here).

Kitchen

With 6 burner gas stove and oven, commercial dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, the semi-commercial kitchen at The Place is an ideal space for catering and food preparation, cooking lessons and hospitality training.

Servery access to the Community Hall from the Kitchen is available through a roller-shuttered window.
