Woven Creative Space 6 Week Program
Tuesdays 5th October - 9th November
Time: 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Cost: $120 (for the 6 weeks)
We are very proud to support Woven Creative Space to launch their 6 week creative program for young people. Woven Creative Space are focused on running community led programs and are committed to connecting young people with local, passionate artists. They offer a diverse range of workshops focused on developing new skills whilst placing an emphasis on sustainability and upcycling.
Their 6 week program will run on Tuesday afternoons at The Place starting on the 5th of October for 12 - 14 year olds. Skills offered will include painting, collaging, embroidery, lino printing and macrame and each session will allow participants to work on functional projects that they can take home and use. The cost for 6 weeks is $120 and they're a Creative Kids Provider so you can use your vouchers towards the cost.
We love supporting local businesses to offer positive programs for our community and can't wait for this program to launch.

The Place is proud to be the first community organisation in NSW to take part in the NSW Device Bank Pilot Program, supporting more people in our community to get connected and build confidence online. Through the program, we helped allocate 30 refurbished laptops to local people in our community, including seniors, carers, people with disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Participants receive 12 months of free data, digital skills training and IT Support to help them make the most of their device. Delivered by NSW Telco Authority in partnership with WorkVentures and Good Things Australia, the NSW Device Bank Pilot Program is part of the NSW Government’s Digital Inclusion Strategy. The program helps bridge the digital divide by giving people access to the essential technology, connectivity and support needed in today’s digital world. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity for our local community and want to thank everyone who made it possible.
