FREE Breast Screening Opportunities
Led by HNE Health Multicultural Health Service
The HNE Health Multicultural Health Service is holding FREE screening days at Waratah Breast Screen for the following communities in October and November.
To be eligible you need to be 40 years or over and have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months.
Italian Generation Breast Screen Day - 14th of October
This day aims to increase the number of Italian women in the Hunter region coming forward for breast screening. This is an opportunity for generations of Italian women to come together and be screened. A day for the Nonna's, Mothers and daughters. Interpreters will be provided for all sessions where needed or requested.
Deaf, Deaf Blind and HOH community - 22nd of October
This screening day is for The Deaf, Deaf Blind and HOH community. Interpreters will be provided for ALL sessions.
Family and friends are also welcome to book in on the day.
Queerscreen LGBTQIA Community -12th of November
This screening day is open to anyone who identifies as Queer and would like to come along to breast screen. Screening in the LGBTQIA community is low, come together as a community and support each other to be screened. Bring your friends and allies on the day.
