We are thrilled to announce that we will be running another round of our cDEX (Community Digital Exchange) Program in 2023-2024, and we cannot wait to embark on this digital journey with you!

From October to February, we are offering an opportunity for community members like you to become Digital Mentors for people over 50 who lack basic digital skills. This is your chance to make a positive impact by helping your loved ones, friends, neighbours, and community members boost their digital literacy and confidence.

All you need to do is attend one day of FREE training and be willing to support learners who are over 50. We are here to support you every step of the way, providing valuable resources and follow-up support sessions. Plus, we are also planning several community support days that will be held at our Community Centre that you can join, where you will be able to assist elderly learners with specific tasks.

All Digital Mentors who complete this program will receive a certificate that you can use to enhance your resume. And that is not all – you will also have a chance to win some awards and prizes for your dedication to helping others.

This opportunity is a perfect fit for those looking to upskill or add a valuable credentials to their resume. It is also a wonderful way to give back to your community and gain new experiences. If you are involved in aged care or the community sector, this program can be particularly beneficial.

We have you covered when it comes to food, with a delicious free lunch and refreshments provided during the training. Just let us know if you have any dietary requirements, and we will make sure you are well taken care of.

Bookings are essential as spaces are limited, so please be sure to secure your spot by booking early.

You can book your spot here. If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us on (02) 4032 5500 or email us at programsassistant@theplacecharlestown.org.au
