Let Us Know What You're Up To!

We Would Love To Support Local Initiatives

Are you offering a program, activity, class or opportunity online?

Do you work for a local business or organisation that's still providing a service to the community?

We would LOVE to support your initiatives and share them with our community!

We're experiencing incredibly challenging and uncertain times but we remain a strong community. We want to support local businesses and initiatives and keep our community informed about opportunities that are available.

If you're providing things like food relief, medication delivery services, mental health support or activities online (or something different!) please let us know. Also to our regular hirers please let us know if you're offering online classes or activities as we would love to promote what you're doing.

For now our staff are still working remotely but we are available to assist you. Please make use of this opportunity and send any information you would like to share to Grace at programs@theplacecharlestown.org.au

The more information the better and if you can share a link to online information that would be wonderful.

Stay safe and take care everyone!

The Place is proud to be the first community organisation in NSW to take part in the NSW Device Bank Pilot Program, supporting more people in our community to get connected and build confidence online. Through the program, we helped allocate 30 refurbished laptops to local people in our community, including seniors, carers, people with disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Participants receive 12 months of free data, digital skills training and IT Support to help them make the most of their device. Delivered by NSW Telco Authority in partnership with WorkVentures and Good Things Australia, the NSW Device Bank Pilot Program is part of the NSW Government’s Digital Inclusion Strategy. The program helps bridge the digital divide by giving people access to the essential technology, connectivity and support needed in today’s digital world. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity for our local community and want to thank everyone who made it possible.
