Become a Digital Mentor

Be Part of Our Digital Mentor Community!

Digital mentors are integral to our Be Connected digital literacy programs at The Place. There are still many people in our community who need help to use the internet and learn essential digital skills.

We work with community members and high school students across the Hunter Region, training them to become digital mentors who can support their family members, friends, and community members over 50 improve their digital literacy skills and gain confidence using all things digital.

Being a digital mentor is not all about technical skills, it is about being good with people and inspiring and supporting them to take their first steps using computers, mobile devices, and the internet.

If you take delight in helping others or to want to assist people you may be working with, join us for our upcoming Digital Mentor training session on Monday, 24 July from 9am – 4pm at The Place Charlestown.

Bookings are essential, as spots are limited. To register, please call us on 02 4032 5500 or email Zoe at programsassistant@theplacecharlestown.org.au
