  • Fixed Term Part-time – 2 years; 20hrs per week (days negotiable)
  • Salary and Conditions – Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHCADS) Level 3/4 dependant on qualifications and experience


The Place: Charlestown Community Centre is seeking a Youth Worker who is committed and enthusiastic about supporting young people reach their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced, committed, and enthusiastic professional to work creatively to deliver services across targeted program areas.


You will be working both individually and in collaboration with our Programs team to deliver planned programs. As a member of The Place team, the role of Youth Worker is to work directly with the target groups to plan, manage and co-facilitate a two-year youth development program. Target groups include young people aged 12-24 years.


Established in 2010, the team at The Place work to drive active community development, underpinned by strong and effective governance, through a mechanism of financially sustainable social enterprise.

 

Supported by an experienced team, you’ll need a relevant qualification in Youth Work / Community Services or a related discipline, proven experience in the not-for-profit sector, working with youth from diverse demographic groups, and program management and facilitation experience.
