Auslan Interpreted Zoom Session: Messaging Memes & Emojis
Digital Literacy Support for Over 50s
Topic: Messaging, Memes & Emojis (Auslan Interpreted Session)
Date: 15th June
Time: 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Join us for our Auslan interpreted digital literacy sessions for over 50’s.
Build your confidence using messaging tools and learn more about memes and emojis and how you can use them to communicate with others! This online event is especially for members of our deaf community and will have Auslan interpreters on screen throughout the Zoom session.
One of our Be Connected Digital Mentors will walk you through topics including:
- Popular messaging apps
- Connecting with people and sending/receiving messages
- What memes are and how to use them
- Using emojis effectively
This event will also help you to build your confidence using online tools like Zoom and provide you with access to a wealth of information via the Be Connected website.
All sessions are FREE and a Zoom meeting link will be sent to you via email. Our sessions are open to members of our deaf community over 50 and are held in a casual, welcoming and inclusive environment. Carers and support workers are welcome and you can join us from across the State!
NOTE: We highly recommend using a laptop, desktop computer or tablet device for these sessions. We don't recommend using a smartphone as the screen size does not allow for a good viewing experience.
