Programs Assistant - Charlestown Youth and Community Centre Inc.

Are you passionate about creating and supporting a connected, happy community? If so, you may be the person we’re looking for to join our team.


The Place: Charlestown Community Centre is seeking a Programs Assistant who is confident, energetic, efficient, and creative. This role will support the delivery of programs at The Place and actively market The Place as both a modern venue of choice and an opportunity to engage in social, sporting, and educational activities.


We work to support our community to meet, connect, belong, and grow by driving active community development, underpinned by strong and effective governance, through a mechanism of financially sustainable social enterprise.

 

Supported by an experienced team, you’ll need some experience in the not-for-profit sector, working with diverse demographic groups, program delivery and excellent communication skills.

This course introduces conversational French for use in a variety of social settings. For beginners, and those wishing to revise basic skills. You will be helped to speak and understand right from the start. A relaxed, friendly course with opportunities to socialise and participate in cultural knowledge and activities. DAY CLASS: 6 sessions @ 2 hours per session on Wednesdays Start date: Wed 20 May 2026 (No class 24 June) Time: 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm OR  EVENING CLASS: 6 sessions @ 2 hours per session on Mondays Start date: Mon 18 May 2026 (No class Mon 8 June) Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm COST: $150 for the 6 week course, payable before commencement.
