Made @ The Place - Art Exhibition

Showcasing The Talents of Our Youth

Art is a powerful medium that allows us to express our innermost thoughts and feelings, and to communicate in a way that words often can't. It's a universal language that transcends boundaries and connects people from all walks of life. And when it comes to nurturing the artistic talents of youth, the Made @ The Place program is leading the way.

We are thrilled to invite you to the First Art Exhibition of the Made @ The Place Program! Our young and talented artists have created a delightful and imaginative collection, which we can't wait to share with you. The event will be held on Thursday, 7th December 2023, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at The Place, Charlestown.

The Made @ The Place program is much more than just an art class. It's an initiative that facilitates positive growth and artistic confidence of local youth. The program provides a safe and nurturing environment where young artists can explore their creativity, learn new techniques, and develop their unique artistic style.

Our upcoming Art Exhibition is a celebration of their success. It's an opportunity for the young artists to showcase their artwork, gain exposure, and receive feedback from the community. It's also an opportunity for you to witness the incredible talent of these budding artists, and to support their artistic journey.

And of course, no celebration would be complete without refreshments. We will be serving light refreshments during the event. So come by, enjoy some great art, and have a snack. It promises to be an evening of creativity, inspiration, and fun!

We hope to see you there. Bookings are essential. To reserve your spot, call us at 024032 5500 or email us at youthprograms@theplacechartlestown.org.au or follow the link here

Supporting the artistic development of our youth is an investment in our future. So join us at the Made @ The Place First Art Exhibition, and let's celebrate the creativity and talent of our young artists together!

This Neighbourhood Centre Week, we pay homage to the remarkable strength that emerges when diverse individuals come together for a shared purpose. Helen Keller's timeless words, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much," resonate deeply as we reflect on the power of unity and community. In communities across Australia, Neighbourhood and Community Houses and Centres (NCHCs) stand as the beating heart of local neighbourhoods. At these centres like ours, we strive to embody the essence of togetherness, bringing people from all walks of life together to connect, learn, and play. Through collaborative initiatives, inclusive programs, and shared spaces, we cultivate an environment where every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every member contributes to the vibrant mosaic of our shared community. To celebrate the value of our local community, join us for a warm cuppa and lively conversations at The Place on 14th May, from 10 am – 12 pm. Whether you're a longtime resident or new to the area, there's a place for you here! Discover the variety of programs and activities at The Place tailored to enrich every aspect of your life, from health and wellness initiatives to educational workshops and social gatherings. Come and experience The Place where people meet, connect, belong, and grow. Neighbourhood Centre Week is a time to celebrate the bonds that unite us and the spaces that nurture them. So, come on over, grab a cuppa, and let's build a stronger, more connected community together! Free light morning tea will be provided. To book your spot, please call us on 02 4032 5500, or email us at programsassistant@theplacecharlestown.org.au
