It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that we bid farewell to Kathleen. After 12 years of dedicated service, she has decided to embark on a new chapter in her life, and while we will miss her immensely, we are filled with joy for the exciting opportunities that await her.

Kathleen has been an integral part of our community centre, with her expertise, compassion and her genuine care for each client of Massage Space & The Place - Kathleen has left an incredible mark on our community.

Thank you Kathleen and we wish you best of luck wherever you may go.

*A message from Kathleen*

To all my wonderful clients I have had the joy of working with (on) over the past 12 years, I wish to advise you that my Massage Space At The Place Business will be closing on the 16th of June 2023.

I was working at a massage clinic when I was approached by Karden in late 2010, asking if I would like to run my own business within the brand new "The Place: Charlestown Community Centre". Open to new experiences, I decided to walk through that door of opportunity. Receiving the keys in January 2011, I quickly completed a business course, to gain some rudimentary skills. (I had no previous experience with small business!) Since that time I have enjoyed many varied experiences with The Place, including joining the team at outdoor festivals, open days, and workshops. I have enjoyed relationships with groups hiring the place. I have participated in several wellness and mental health days with the Lake Macquarie Community Mental Health Team and I have really enjoyed meeting the myriad of different people that attend The Place. The team are great so I have lots and lots of fond memories.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the many hours spent in your company. Thankyou for your trust. It has truly been a privilege. Sadly, my thumbs are no longer up to the task. I wish you all the best and encourage you to continue to receive remedial massage therapy (and to stretch!)

Thank you and farewell.

 -Kathleen
