Spawn, Craft, Code! School Holiday Minecraft Camp 

Get ready to level up your child’s school holidays with a one-of-a-kind gaming adventure! We're excited to announce that Minecraft Camp is coming to The Place Charlestown Community Centre on Sunday, 7 July 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM—and it’s set to be a block-tastic day for kids and teens alike.


This exciting, full-day workshop offers more than just fun in the world of Minecraft. Minecraft Camp is designed for those who want to take Minecraft to a whole new level. ​This 1-day intensive camp will further your child’s skills in coding and constructing to complete individual and collaborative challenges as well as learn from the world’s best about the latest Minecraft builds that are taking shape. Suitable for all ability levels!


Participants will explore:

  • Creative coding challenges
  • Minecraft-based building and problem-solving
  • Social interaction with like-minded gamers
  • Real-world STEM skills through play


Whether your child is an engineer in the making or just loves to build, Minecraft Camp offers an immersive experience where learning and gaming collide.

What to Bring

  • A fully charged device with Minecraft installed
  • Lunch and recess (nut-free preferred)
  • A curious mind and a love for building!

 

** Parents are asked to drop children off and collect their child/ren at the end of the day.


Open to all students aged 5-13 years (K-6) and children with special learning needs can be catered for.


NDIS self-managed funds are welcome—making this a great option for neurodivergent young people who thrive in creative, tech-based environments.

The Place is proud to be the first community organisation in NSW to take part in the NSW Device Bank Pilot Program, supporting more people in our community to get connected and build confidence online. Through the program, we helped allocate 30 refurbished laptops to local people in our community, including seniors, carers, people with disability and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Participants receive 12 months of free data, digital skills training and IT Support to help them make the most of their device. Delivered by NSW Telco Authority in partnership with WorkVentures and Good Things Australia, the NSW Device Bank Pilot Program is part of the NSW Government’s Digital Inclusion Strategy. The program helps bridge the digital divide by giving people access to the essential technology, connectivity and support needed in today’s digital world. We’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity for our local community and want to thank everyone who made it possible.
