Step Up and Dance - Ages 12 to 15

FREE Dance Workshops

Join our FREE Step Up & Dance workshop over the school holidays and forge some new friendships through the universal language of dance!


No dance experience necessary – just come and have some fun! Designed for all young people aged 12-15, this vibrant and dynamic workshop offers an electrifying journey into the world of dance.


From hip-hop grooves and funk to commercial dance, the amazing TMP Studio instructor will lead you through a range of dance styles, helping you dance with confidence.


In this 2-session workshop, you will also learn some essential skills such as: coordination, flexibility, and teamwork. Sessions will be held on Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th January 2024 from 1.30 - 4.30 pm at the Place Charlestown Community Centre.

Our dance workshops are held in an inclusive and supportive environment, where creativity knows no bounds and self-expression is encouraged.  Light food and refreshments will be provided. Just bring a bottle of water, and make sure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

About the Reclaiming My Place Project: Reclaiming My Place (RMP) is an innovative arts-based program developed by the Centre of Excellence for Equity in Higher Education (CEEHE) at the University of Newcastle. The program engages women who have lived experiences of gendered violence and interrupted education journeys, using creative arts to foster mindfulness, healing, relaxation, and pathways to lifelong learning.
