A fun and accessible group painting activity guided by Pinot & Picasso



The Place Based Abilities Program is serving up something fun, expressive, and absolutely delicious — and you’re invited!

Join us for Paint + Pizza, a relaxed and welcoming evening where young people can get creative with paint, enjoy good food, and connect with others in a safe, inclusive space.

Time: 5pm – 7pm
Location: The Place Charlestown Community Centre
Cost: Free!


This creative workshop will be facilitated by Pinot & Picasso Newcastle, known for their fun, step-by-step approach that makes painting easy and enjoyable for everyone — no experience needed! Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just curious to give painting a go, this is a chance to let loose, try something new, and meet others who understand that everyone’s abilities and perspectives are valid and valued.


What to expect:

  • A fun and accessible group painting activity guided by Pinot & Picasso
  • Pizza for dinner (with vegetarian and gluten-free options)
  • Friendly vibes and peer support
  • No pressure — just expression, fun, and community


This event is part of our Place Based Abilities Program, a youth-led initiative designed to support neurodivergent young people and those with disability to engage socially, build skills, and take part in activities that feel relevant, respectful, and fun.
