Don’t miss the next round of our FREE Made @The Place youth creative arts program!

Join us for a fun and inspiring 4-week workshop focusing on creating fantastical landscapes that convey a story and take us on a journey to your imagination.

This program is for young people 12+ and will run from the 8th of May – 29th of May, hosted at The Place every Wednesday from 4 – 6pm.

Guided by artist Natalie Anderson, we will explore themes of fantasy, wonder, and adventure while incorporating the principles of reuse, reduce, and recycle.

Over the course of four weeks, participants will have the opportunity to craft their own wonderlands using upcycled fabric, sewing, and various textiles such as buttons, ribbons, jeans, and wool.

Drawing inspiration from Japanese landscapes, storybook illustrations, and contemporary textile artists, students will learn how to add depth and movement to their artistic compositions and develop techniques for creating and distinguishing textures. Join us on this creative journey to unleash your imagination and bring your dreams to life!
