Looking for a fun, family-friendly activity that’s free and open to everyone? Gather your crew (or come solo) and prepare for a day of laughter, costumes, and brain-busting fun at our Trivia & Cosplay Extravaganza! Whether you’re a trivia buff, a cosplay enthusiast, or just looking for a great way to spend the day, this event has something for everyone.

Cosplay Showcase:
Bring your favourite characters to life! Whether you’re a seasoned cosplayer or trying it out for the first time, our friendly cosplay showcase welcomes everyone. Show off your creativity, or simply enjoy the incredible costumes on display.


Trivia Challenge:
Think you’ve got what it takes to be a trivia champion? Test your knowledge across a variety of topics, from pop culture and movies to anime and more. Form a team with friends or family or come solo—we’ll match you up with a team to join the fun.


All Abilities Welcome:
We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can participate. Whether you're a trivia master or just love the energy of a good team challenge, you’ll feel right at home.


Perfect for Families:
This event is designed by our participants and team with families in mind! Bring the kids, grandparents, or your neighbour down the street—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Teams can have up to 10 members.


Prizes & Surprises:
It’s not just about the glory (though there’s plenty of that, too!). We’ll be handing out prizes for the top trivia teams, best-dressed cosplayers, and a few special surprises along the way.

Join a free Creative Networking Event for the Reclaiming My Place Healing & Recovery Project . When: Tuesday, May 13 Where: The Place, Charlestown Time: Drop in anytime between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM Whether you have 15 minutes or a couple of hours, feel free to pop in for a bit or stay for the whole session—whatever works for you! About the Reclaiming My Place Project: Reclaiming My Place (RMP) is an innovative arts-based program developed by the Centre of Excellence for Equity in Higher Education (CEEHE) at the University of Newcastle. The program engages women who have lived experiences of gendered violence and interrupted education journeys, using creative arts to foster mindfulness, healing, relaxation, and pathways to lifelong learning. This event offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community professionals, discover the transformative impact of creative approaches, and explore ways to support women on their healing journeys. 🔗 Want to know more?
